Joseph J. Spengler Prize 2011

In 2004 the History of Economics Society established the Joseph J. Spengler Prize for the best book in the history of economics.

The winner of the 2011 Spengler Prize was announced at the HES meeting this past weekend in South Bend. It goes this year to Robert Leonard for his Von Neumann, Morgenstern and the Creation of Game Theory: From Chess to Social Science 1900-1960.
