Adam Smith Conference Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of "The Theory of Moral Sentiments"

An international Adam Smith conference celebrating the 250th anniversary of "The Theory of Moral Sentiments" will be held in Oslo, Norway, on August 27 - 29, 2009. It will be jointly hosted by three Oslo based research institutions: the Centre for the Study of Mind in Nature, the Centre for the study of Equality, Social Organization, and Performance, and the Seminar on Theory of Science. Speakers include Thom Brooks, Vivienne Brown, Thomas Cushman, Samuel Fleischacker, Christel Fricke, Lisa Hill, Ragnvald Kalleberg, Duncan Kelly, Wolfgang Knöbl, James Konow, George Loewenstein, Deirdre McCloskey, Kalle Moene, John O'Neill, Brian Turner, and Carola von Villiez.
